I have a movie with a size of 700MB. I want to upload it to Mediafire, but Mediafire upload file size limit is 200MB, so I want to split that file into 200MB parts and upload them to Mediafire.
use hjsplit, free and simple, use by most movie uploaders.
or use format factory. to slpit videos.
keep in mind that it's illegal to violate copyright.
Hello, you could also split them by using winrar...that is if mediafire allows .rar files. The same thing applies for HJ split. It gives files the extension .001, 002, etc. It is freeware and very fast. You use same program to join the files. Best thing with HJ split is that it is portable and therefore there is no need to install program on computer, you can use from a flashdrive.
Like Jeff said, you would be wasting a lot of time and unneeded bandwith if you upload the file, split it and then download it back to you.
You can also use virtualdub to split files. Here is how:
Depending on how fast your system is, it could take sometime to do it with Virtualdub.
It will be significantly quicker if you use a traditional desktop file splitter instead. This way you don't have to upload the movie to split it, download it and then reupload it to mediafire. Check out some articles that MakeUseOf published on "File Splitting Utilities" below.
