I have already joined the community. Every time I try to visit it is asking to sign up. How can I login without signing up every time? Maybe I am unaware of the system. Please help me!
I have to apologize for the delay in posting your question. We have had this question before and I have spent the past days trying to track it down, but I cannot find it.
You cannot log into MakeUseOf, we do not have a section to the website that is for members only. I think what confused you was the "Join" button next to "Subscribe to MakeUseOf".
When you enter your eMail address and click "join", you don't actually join the website. What happens is, you subscribe to the newsletter and "join" all the other 200,000+ people that are currently receiving it.
And we do hope you enjoy our newsletter! :)
And the pop-up (that you get when you come to the site from Googling stuff) asking whether you want to join is just another way for you to subscribe to the newsletter. You can easily close that pop-up to keep navigating the blog.
Basically, there is no login. You subscribe via email to our newsletter or you log in with your Disqus account to post comments.
I have subscribed but when I try to download I get sent to the subscription page. At that point I get told my email address is on file and get an error message. Very frustrating so not worth spending any more time here.
What are you trying to download? If you're looking for the Big Book of iTunes or other PDF Guides or our Cheat Sheets, have a look at this page: //www.makeuseof.com/makeuseof-downloads/
You can also view our PDF Guides on Scribd: http://www.scribd.com/MakeUseOf_manuals
Hope this helps!
I just found a work around for the subscribed members. From now on when someone who is already a subscriber tries to sign up s/he will be redirected to a MakeUseOf page with the link to our downloads section.
I finally found the other answer I had been looking for. Here it is:
