I have got a free wireless spot in my house. Now I want take this internet connection via my laptop and spread it to a much more distant place in the house in order to use it on my mobile phone. How can I do that?

create an ad-hoc connection from your laptop and share your internet connection through it

Ive just found that you can share your Internet connection through one computer by using Internet connection sharing if you use windows. I'm going to give it a try but not sure it will work for my iPad. I have the wifi version so if I can use my laptop that has an unlimited data plan for my wifi connection that would accomplish the same thing as the 3G version.

This is very possible without an extender since he specified the phone would be connected over bluetooth, not the same wifi (which is already connected to the internet).

A quick google search came up with

But you may find one more appropriate to your model of phone... just search for "share internet connection over bluetooth".

I don't think there is a way to do it without Wireless Extender.

Netgear also has a very good extender I've used for large outdoor spaces:
You do need to know enough about the source connection to set the router up though.

+1 for the drawing, and +1 for the phone. I have that model as well.

You could get something like this

    Or this

If you want to go through your laptop, it also depends on your wireless card. I extended the range of my laptop by an Ethernet cable to my computer, then bridge that with my wireless card to connect to my laptop. It worked, but wasn't really reliable.

When you say "free internet" - do you mean your neighbours wifi?

Either way, it all depends on what operating system are you using on your laptop.
