Is it safe to install Sherry 1.3 video drivers?

Victor Ong September 6, 2012

Just wondering if it is safe to install the Sherry 1.3 video driver. I don’t want to crash my computer, but the Sherry driver is reportedly faster than the default Intel GMA 3150 drivers. So two questions:

1. Is it safe to install?
2. Is it true that Sherry 1.3 is faster than Intel GMA 3150 drivers?

If so, please include the full instructions (do I have to uninstall default drivers?, etc.)

Thanks in advance!

Hello, I would say the best place for you to get the answers to your questions would be in the developer's site. Keep in mind that the windows 7 drivers are still on beta I would not depend on them too much.

Just remeber to always set a restore point before trying anything new and do as much review as possible...

Some have reported better performance some not so you can read about here then make your own mind up just do make sure of the Restore Point before you start.
Here's how to create a Restore Point.
Click Start/Control Panel/Systems/ Systems Protection a window will open up with your drives on them highlight the (C:) Drive by clicking on it the click on Create and follow the promps. Windows 7 does not create Restore Points auto so mat have to make sure that the C Drive has the turned on.

Set up a system restore point before installing, install the drivers and see. Considering they're third-party, you might find that something will go wrong. The thing is though, if something goes wrong you can easily restart in safe mode and revert the changes or restore to your sys restore point - no damage done. I honestly doubt that anything bad will happen and you might get some serious gains in performance.

Apparently the drivers aren't designed for 64bit Windows 7, according to the comments over at:

There's also a forum dedicated to support if anything goes wrong, so you might find that registering and posting there is a good idea:

you can try to install on windows 7 using Troubleshoot Compatibility feature, right click on the program ewe file and use Troubleshoot Compatibility.

Sherry 1.3 for GMA 3150 is here, Better late than never :D

perhaps depends on games, some will have better FPS others not.
before installing do a system point so that to revert back in case of problem.
