How can I restore my iPhone via iTunes?

Sardar May 15, 2012

My iPhone wouldn’t take the SIM. I restored it on iOS 5.1.1 and it detected some errors when it turned on. Now it doesn’t turn on, it says I should connect to iTunes. What do I do?

    List of steps:

    Plug your iDevice into iTunes.
    Click your iPhones name.
Scroll to the middle of the page.
There should be a 'update' and 'restore' button.
    Click restore.
Let it download, verify, and install.

As per John Smith's instructions, adding :

      1) Use a fresh sync cable, yours may be faulty.
      2) If this fails, try again using DFU mode.
