How can I recover iTunes music that got moved to Windows Media Player?

MMDove September 14, 2010

iTunes reports it can’t find some of my music. It appears on Windows Media Player, apparently kidnapped. I can’t get it back to iTunes and I can’t download it to my iPod.

HiReinstal itunes1) Click File > Add Folder to Library and choose your My Music folder.2) If you have files in WMA format, you will be prompted to convert those WMA files to AAC. This is a necessary step if you want those tracks available to play on your iPod ShuffleYou can also import your WMA files as MP3 instead, which also allows them to work with your iPod, but makes them more portable if you buy something else in the future. You can also use iTunes to import WMA files as MP3, but you need to make a settings change first and follow the steps to Convert WMA to MP3 with iTunes. [Broken Link Removed]

Also you can try MusicBridge: MusicBridge allows people who use both iTunes and WMP on the same machine to keep their libraries in sync. MusicBridge offers a variety of synchronization options so that you can manage your music collection in either media player or both.
