Why am I receiving so many SSL connection errors?

Anonymous April 26, 2014

I’m running Windows 8, with Google Chrome. Recently I’ve been getting entirely too many “SSL connection errors”.
I’ve went to chrome ‘settings’ and unchecked all SSL uses.
I’ve uninstalled Chrome – installed Firefox – got them there also.
Uninstalled Firefox – reinstalled Chrome – still get them.
This is on every website every page I go to.
Sometimes ‘refresh’ will let me go to the page, but not often.

What can I do?

first check for the Time and date on your computer , then also check the "hosts" file , which may have been modified.

You're probably infected with a virus. You'll want to scan the computer completely. Try downloading the free version of MalwareBytes at https://www.malwarebytes.org/. Run a full scan and clean up anything it finds. Check your DNS records and make sure they haven't been hijacked. Download any Windows updates. Finally, do this:

Hit Start, go to search, type CMD. Launch the command prompt. Run the command "SFC /scannow". That will check for any system files that have been corrupted. Then reboot.
