What is the best programming language to learn for beginners?

Keval Patel January 11, 2012

I am beginner in programming. I am a diploma student and quite interested in programming.

I don’t know which language should I learn first for application development. Can you suggest me some good online/offline sources too? Thanks!

I highly recommend Codecademy to get you started - //www.makeuseof.com/tag/codecademy-hands-easiest-code/

The first course is basic Javascript but there is a lot more to come.

Thank you for linking my article Jay. I'm going to disagree though!

      Windows: .net
      OSX: objective-C
      iOS: objective-C
      Android: java
Web-based: php + mysql + javascript + html (sounds harder than it really is).
