How can I open PDF files downloaded from MakeUseOf?

Arlene Oliver June 11, 2010

I recently joined and downloaded some MakeUseOf stuff, but I can’t seem to open PDF files. Any suggestions? I’m not much of a computer geek.

Thanks everyone, I will try you're suggestions and let you know how I do. It's nice to have somewhere to go where people actually answer your questions!

    Download Adobe Reader from

Once installed, you should be able to open and read the PDF files.

Also, what messages are coming up saying you can't open them? Does your computer ask you to select what program you would like to use to read this file? If so, download Adobe Reader. If not, please let us know what messages are appearing.

Also, if you don't want to install that software, you can read them online over on our Scribd Page.

Note: When installing adobe, you can untick Free McAfee® Security Scan Plus

You could try Adobe's PDF reader. It can be downloaded at for free. There are many more pdf readers too. According to me most widely used is Adobe.
