Or you may check the default settings for your router online. We have covered a couple of sites that provide such information.

Hello, you can also find out your gateway by right clicking the network card and select properties.  You can also use the ipconfig /all switch in command prompt.  If you use this switch, it will show you all the connections you have...even wireless.  Once you have you gateway type it in your browser.  It should be typed like http://192.168.XXX.XXX.  Make sure you change the default password if you haven't done so already.

An easier way to get the address of your router is to open a command prompt and type "ipconfig" (without the quotes) and pressing Enter.  Look for the entry 'Default Gateway'.  That should be the address of your router (unless you are in a large environment where there are multiple routers and network segments).

The router config page is a webpage installed in your router where you can tweak it's settings, like password, time and date, security and many more.
To open it, go into your web browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera etc) and type it's IP Address in the address bar. Usually it is, but if not, please refer to your router's User Manual.
