The Num Lock key worked fine until 3 weeks ago. I have no idea why it stopped working. Running Windows 7 Home Premium on a Gateway AMD dual 64-bit. Thanks for any help.

Hi
Resolve unexpected Function (F1 - F12) or other special key behavior
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894513/en-us
Numbers do not appear on the screen when you use the numeric keypad
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320095/en-us
or a system restore to a point where you didint had the problem
Start-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore
You can also try to reset CMOS BAttery
updating the BIOS can fixes your Num Lock problem.
Are any other keys on your keyboard affected? It's very strange for just one key to stop working. It sounds like hardware issue.
Is it possible that this one key got stuck? Maybe a crumb got underneath it. Try taking out the key and cleaning it.
