I want to download a piece of music and use it in a PowerPoint presentation.
If the iTunes song was purchased from the iTunes Store, it is protected and you'd need to burn it to a CD and then reimport it to remove the protection. If it isn't protected, you may need to convert it to a format that Powerpoint recognizes
Audio file formats compatible with PowerPoint 2003/2007 include: AIFF, AU, MIDI, MP3, WAV, WMA
In the iTunes store, select the track that you want to use in your PowerPoint presentation. Then burn it to an empty CD disk.
Open the disk with Windows Media Player, and rip music from the CD into a *.wma format. Right click on the track and choose to send to Windows Audio Converter. There you can choose the format as MP3 and save it to a folder.
Method 2 Convert iTunes to MP3 with Third-party Audio Converter
You can also use a third-party audio conversion tool to convert iTunes to MP3.
How to Play a Sound across Multiple Slides in PowerPoint 2003/2007
Sorry, let me re-phrase the question. How do I insert music from the iTunes into a PowerPoint presentation? I downloaded the music (it's now in my iTunes library) and I can't seem to transfer it into my presentation (or onto my computer for that matter).
Demo: Add music to a presentation
In PowerPoint, highlight the slide where you want the music to start
1)From the menu, choose:
INSERT > MOVIES AND SOUNDS > SOUND FROM FILE
2)Browse in dialog box to choose music file. Answer "Do you want your sound to play automatically in the slide show?"
3)You will see a sound icon on your slide. Reposition icon.
4)To adjust playback options, right-click sound icon and choose CUSTOM ANIMATION. Choose EFFECT OPTION from drop-down list.
5)PowerPoint will automatically embed supported sound files up to 100K in size. Files larger than the default setting will be linked, not embedded.
6)PowerPoint will automatically embed supported sound files up to 100K in size. Files larger than the default setting will be linked, not embedded.
7)To increase the default to 50,000K in size, choose: TOOLS > OPTIONS
8)In the OPTIONS dialog box, select the GENERAL tab. Change 100 Kb to any number up to 50,000 Kb. Click OK.
9)Files larger than the selected size will be linked, not embedded. You must copy linked files with your presentation file to transport your presentation. Embedded sound files are part of your presentation file.
