Well, here comes the problem:

I am using as my permalink structure on my self-hosted WP installation. Blogspot doesn’t allow changing the permalink structure and it would become

If I would just move to Blogspot, I’d lose my PR, wouldn’t be in search engines anymore, etc. Also, I do have advertisers who bought links in some of my posts (e.g.

Any tips what I could do? As far as I understand there is NO way for me to move to Blogspot.

What is that your don't like about self hosted WordPress installation? To be honest, you're the first person I heard about who want to move from WordPress to Blogspot. Usually it's the other way around. WordPress has a small learning curve and extremely flexible.

Marco is that WordPress blog complete new blog or an old blog with existing content..
If it has no content..You can do it easily without losing anything.. But in case if you not using custom domain for your blogSpot, you will lose PR....

Well, you are in a very difficult situation. First, Why are you switching to blogspot? To save money? Your own server is the best way.

Assuming something besides that, if you could find some freeware to transfer your posts, you could do that and set each of your old posts to redirect after say 4 seconds on a page that says to update your bookmarks. You could keep the ads on your old site, if it is per-view, it will still make you money until everyone updates their bookmarks and Google puts the PageRank of you new blog above the old one. Just add the same code to your new blogspot site too, if this doesn't violate the advertiser TOS.

This would not solve the problem if you want to quit your host to save money, but it would if you have some other reason. Please respond to indicate your reason. What is your blog URL? I've subscribed to this question so I can follow up.

Also, check this conversion utility out ( Yes, I know it only allows 1MB (what's up with that, devs?), but you can download the code for the converter and run it yourself. Look for the link at the bottom.
