How can I install MSI drivers downloded from the net?

dev July 14, 2011

I have downloaded a MSI K9MM-V / MS-7312 motherboard driver for my motherboard. Now I have to install it on my computer. How do I do it?

    Installing a new device
    Right click on "my computer"

    Choose "properties"

Choose "device manager" (In Windows 2000, you have to choose the "hardware"
tab first and then "device manager"). This will display a list of the devices
    that are on your computer.

Right click on the device and click "properties".

Choose "driver" and click "update driver"

You will be asked to browse for the new driver

Once drivers have been installed reboot.

The only files I found for your MB on the MSI website is for BIOS updates.  Is this what you downloaded or did you download something else from another site?  (Don't wanna be giving you the wrong info.)

To install a MSI file you just run it like a EXE file. Double click it and follow the instrauctions from the intsllation wizard.

He is claiming to have downloaded drivers for an MSI motherboard, not a MSI file.
