My Android market is bugged and all proposed “solutions” start by downloading a file manager. How can I do that when the Market does not work? Is there another way to intall a file manager?
Hi,i just got a Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman and I want to manage my files. Is it possible to install it via pc?
thank u verymuch Jay.its uesful for me.
You are welcome!
just found a tool that will save your from these steps :
it will install apk files from pc :
you can download astro file manager apk file form here :
how to install apk from pc.
Settings>> Application Settings>> uncheck Unknown Sources .
Settings > SD Card and Phone Storage > Enable Disable Use for USB Storage.
install follwing :
Google Android SDK program: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
and the Android USB drivers. http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html
Open Command Prompt and type:
adb install >path of apk<
(path : if abc.apk file is on e drive you will have to type "abd install E:/abc.apk")
so it will be location+filename+extension.
This is how to install astro file manger without market.
now it is your choice:
Either install using astro file maneger or app installer,
or install from pc using sdk.

The Android SDK program would work for which version of Android?
It should work with all the versions, but why are you going with this long option first?, check the comment below, try that software directly: http://download.cnet.com/Android-Injector/3000-18511_4-75337986.html
i din't got you,i had already installed sdk manager bt i can't download my .apk apps from android market to my pc :'(
If it's difficult for you to follow the instructions to download apps using SDK,then you can download apps from most popular third party sites like apktops.com.The only thing is that you have to allow installation of third party apps into your phone.
