Hello, I was wondering how to factory reset my Amped REC10 wireless extender, as I have no clue whatsoever.

There is an always reset button on such devices on either side. All you need to do is to press and keep holding the reset button for about 10 seconds and once all light blinks together then take the power cable or plug of for sometime then your device shall be restored to factory settings. Thanks

I had the same the same problem with my Amped range extender, This should work regardless of the edition.

    Option 1:
What I did was first disconnect from YOUR extender, unplug it from the power source so its off for a few seconds, Plug it back in then hold the reset button down for about 15 seconds before your computer registers the connection is there and tries to connect. you will have a 3-5 second gap to start this process. IT should then revert to its original factory name and bring you to the Web Menu after you enter your credentials.

Option 2: When your connected to the extenders access point, go to the web menu of the extender, by typing in in your web browser or It should ask you to enter the credentials and bring you to a summary page that shows info and statuses of your network. Go to the firmware/settings page on the left hand of the menu and there should be an option to reset. If it doesn't work or you cannot access the web menu make sure your using an Ethernet cable to connect the extender to the computer. Hope it works. :)

From my personal experience and the Printed Manual from my own extender.

    go to page 5
use a paperclip and push the red reset button on the bottom of the device : Push down once to reboot the Range Extender. Hold down for 5-10 seconds to reset the Range Extender back to factory settings. WPS: Hold down for 3 seconds to enable WPS push button configuration. Wired: RJ-45 port for connecting wired computers or network devices.

I tried pressing the reset button with a paperclip and it did not do anything. The device does not appear to be brought to factory settings.

Amped REC10 should be on to be reset, turn it upside down, wait 30 seconds then hold the factory reset for 10 seconds.
