I’ve tried downloading but it keeps saying ” unfortunately, Google Play has stopped working.” Can anyone help?

All Android systems comes with Google Play store .. if its less than 2.3 then Android market will be pre-installed , and it will automatically upgrade when you connect to the Internet ..

As far as I know, Google Play store is inbuilt, you find find it within your home screen.
