How do I improve graphics performance on an HP G61 laptop?

Morné V October 30, 2013

I have a HP G61 laptop running Windows 7. I think my graphics card is failing.

Every time I watch a movie or have too many tabs open in my browser, my laptop freeze and then I have to reboot. I’m well aware that I cannot replace my graphics card.

Is there something I can do to improve my graphics and stop the freezing?

    Update driver of display adapter.
    Add more RAM memory.
Use CCleaner to get rid of temp files.
    Defrag your HDD
Blow-off the dust inside your laptop
    Update the flash-player plugin.
Use Chrome or Firefox web browsers :)

You could try updating your display adapter's driver. You can either find it in the device manager, open it, click on the /Driver tab and click [Update Driver...] or go to the HP web site and look in the support section for the latest drivers for your laptop, download the video driver and install it. Updating other drivers (e.g. chipset, network) may also help a little.

    1) go to device manager
    2) right click on video card driver
    3) choose uninstall (do not delete)
    4) reboot
