I made a video edit movie on a USB stick in school and I want to watch it on my computer.
bluray meida player is great and i like it.
you can download a video player http://www.blurayplayermac.com/and then connect your USB to you computer. you can watch movies.
Insert stick, locate correct folder, double click on movie file.
most of the solutions given earlier should work
1) insert usb key containing movie and portable vlc
2) open new finder window
3) click on the usb drive name locate portable vlc and launch the vlc dmg
4) locate movie and click on it to be played on vlc
if you dont have usb driver then install it. attach usb drive to ypor pc and run with media player.
It depends on the format of the video, but might I suggest MPlayerX, a free video player app on the Mac App Store that has a very wide range of compatible formats. https://itunes.apple.com/app/mplayerx/id421131143
You may need to install codecs should you experience either sound or picture loss, apart from that its just plug and play.
If you are having trouble playing the video, you might want to check out this article to find a video player that might work for you: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/5-free-universal-video-players-mac/. As long as you can access the video file from your USB drive, then you should be able to play it, so long as you have a player that supports the video format.
if you have a Mac
2.Open USB device by clicking on the device icon
3.double Click on the file you want
4. If the File doesn't play , because its not a format compatible with Quick Time/ iTunes Down load and install Perian (itunes plays almost everything now) , or mplayerx or Vlc and open it with them (Right Click menu)
Plug in the USB sticin the USB port of your PC.
Wait for few seconds
open ----> My computer -----> (Your disk drive)-----> double click your video
and if it doesn't work try installing vlc player and retrying the steps
dude, connect the USB stick to the computer and wait until it loads up! then open the USB stick and select the video file! double click on it and it'll start playing if it's in native codec. if it doesn't play download k-lite codec pack and install it! then open the video again. it'll play for sure!
You need a media player to play video or audio files. You should install VLC Media Player.
