How can I use µTorrent and Yahoo Messenger with my Proxy Server?

I am surfing net with proxy server, but I am not able to sign in into Yahoo Messenger as well as not able to download with µTorrent.

My proxy server’s details are:
Port 9401

    in torrent go to
    setting>>connection>>proxy server then write your proxy and provide authentication if any.

    In theory all you have to do is setup both applications to use the proxy server.

    Also the proxy server may be setup to block certain connections or ports so make sure all the ports or protocols required by those applications are allowed.
    In addition when using a HTTP proxy uTorrent won't be able to make connections using UDP trackers, DHT or Magnet links ~ only TCP trackers will work. Therefor you should use a SOCKS proxy if possible.

    Is this your personal proxy server, or is it provided by a third party? Have you asked that third party if certain services are blocked? Can you let us know who this third party is, so we can check?

    If you have control, obviously, there's something screwy with your settings. You need to enable more ports or services.

      this was provided by a mobile network... tata docomo cdma...
      its common for all users of that operator.

      Agree. What about checking the settings in messenger? would the screwy ones be in there? I don't use it, so...
