How can I uninstall the Skype toolbar?

Dorothea G July 23, 2013

Skype toolbar keeps on crashing, it is very annoying. Never installed the tool bar intentionally.
Do not know where to uninstall, not listed at the ” uninstall” part of control panel .

Thank you so much, this annoyance is grating on my last nerve by now.

    1. Click the down arrow next to the icon on the right side of your Google toolbar.
    2. Select Uninstall from the menu displayed.
    3. A message is displayed, asking if you are sure that you want to uninstall the toolbar. ClickOK to finish uninstalling the toolbar.
Uninstalling the Google Toolbar will not affect your installation of Skype.

Open the menu (button in upper-right corner), select Tools - Extensions. Scroll down the list to Skype Toolbar and click on the little trash can on the right.

Thank you Bruce E, I deleted something about Skype in the extensions, ( no mention of toolbar tho ! ) and keeping my fingers crossed that this was it.

if you are on windows 32bit download revouninstaller

go to task manager locate chrome and skype process then terminate them, after that use revouninstaller to uninstall the toolbar.

after the scan it will create a log file check if Skype toolbar is there and if yes perhaps it will uninstall it for yoou.
