I have installed a USB WiFi Dongle and configured Connectify Hotspot to share my cable broadband on my Windows 7 64 bit desktop and it is working absolutely fine.
However, I want to do away with Connectify Hotspot, and try to do the same functionality with Windows 7 native internet sharing feature. I tried, but am not being able to do as when I follow this guide. At the end it is giving some message regarding Static IP and DHCP configuring, which I am failing to understand. Can somebody help me and guide me on how to go about it?

How will my Wifi adaptor in my computer talk to my Android Wifi. In my android device under settings->more I see something known as Wifi direct for peer to peer networking. Do I need to enable that? If a connection is established, will it be able to get the shared internet connection as it is not a hotspot connection. If no, then do windows 7 have a hotspot creation feature?
Wi-Fi Direct is a peer-to-peer specification that allows devices certified for Wi-Fi Direct to exchange data without an Internet connection or a wireless router.

you have to configure ifconfig and iwconfig via linux commands? SSID should be replaced with the name of your Adhoc network, and add yor device IP.
Never done it myself if you are familiar with you can try if you wish...
