How can I remove some files from torrent to reduce its size? Some online torrent downloading websites only allow 1GB file capacity maximum.

We seem to think you are talking about downloading, OR are you talking about your upload quota?

Usually you can select which files to download or skip right within your torrent application.

For example in uTorrent if you click a download task you will get all sorts of tabs at the bottom. One of them is called "Files" and will show you all the files that are going to be downloaded via this Torrent. You can right-click and select skip to have them not downloaded.

This should be similar for most application – some have this features by right-clicking the download task and select "Edit".

Most of the time those extra files are just a few text files giving credits or a sample or something. In most cases they account for less than 20MB of the full download.

Also if the downloaded content is for example an ISO or another image or container file like rar, zip, etc. you won't be able to skip any of it's contents. Those files are treated as one single download as skipping parts of it would corrupt the entire file.

Selectively downloading files from a torrent file can be done by deselecting the files, you don't want at first place. If you want all files, then deselect the small ones and later on you can download those files.

    I hope this explains fully.

The torrent file format makes adding or removing files impossible without access to the original files
•Add, update, remove or change trackers.
•Edit creation date, created by and comments.
•Quickly see what is in a torrent before loading it.
    •No technical skills needed.
    •Fast and easy!
    •No programs to install.

editing the list of the torrent file will change the torrent's "infohash" you won't be able to download from peers who only have the old .torrent file.
