Go into the "configure email client" section of outlook and add the account info. If you have an email that is from an owned domain, then you may need to enter port numbers for incoming and outgoing mail. It really isn't very difficult if you just read the on screen directions. Hope that helps.

However this is how you can setup GMail as a POP3 account. However if you want IMAP configuration, it is a bit different. IMAP is the new standard and more popular than POP3 and it synchronizes all folders with the email server. This explains how to do it. http://marknetgroup.com/setup-gmail-imap-acess-in-outlook-2003 . However, select the add a new e-mail account so that the next screenshot doesn't come up. Also before doing this you need to login in GMail web interface from your browser and then click on the gear icon dropdown on the right hand towards the top corner and select settings.
