How can I override FPS settings of my webcam manually?

Saumyakanta S July 3, 2013

I want to get 30 FPS at 1024*768 resolution, but when I change the settings of my webcam, it automatically reverts back to 15 FPS. Is there any way to override these settings through any software or hardware modifications?

It's the hardware, you can't make it run faster.

It's not a setting, it's a hardware limitation. I'm curious, though: why do you want the higher FPS?

cuz from 800 x 600 resolution to 2304 x 1728 resolution it gets stucked at 15 FPS so the video lags ...

check the manual if webam supports 30 FPS at 1024*768 resolutio, if not then this can explain the situation
