How can I hide my last login time on Facebook messenger for iPhone?

Anonymous February 7, 2013

I don’t want people to be able to monitor my use of Facebook on my iPhone, such as my last login time. I am aware that I can turn off chat but that doesn’t stop users from seeing when I last logged in.

    Hello guys,
finally, I found a TEMPORARY solution for that
simply, after finish checking your Facebook account, just log out of the app on your phone
the last active time stamp will disappear immediately.
    Try it

unfortunately, till now there is no permanent way to do that.
I know it's kind of madness.

In the privacy settings of the messaging app, there is an option to disable the timestamp or what facebook calls as 'seen'

How do i hide "Last Active" time stamp facebook messenger mobile app?

To disable the last active time stamp, this has been mentioned before in an earlier post:
"Go to your account drop-down menu & go to "Privacy Settings". Then go down to "Ads, Apps & Websites" and click on 'Edit Settings". Next go into "How people bring your info to apps they use" and click on "Edit Settings".

Disable "Seen" Timestamp in FB Chat

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I had tried changing the privacy settings as described in the earlier post but unfortunately it didn't work.

It seems unlikely but I don't know if it makes a difference that my phone seems to have slightly different wording in the menu??

"Privacy Settings" - "Apps and Websites" - "Edit settings"- "Apps other use" - "Edit settings"

Then I unchecked all of the boxes.
