I password protected a file a few years ago and have forgotten what I named the file. I am quite sure that it was a Word file. Is there anyway I can sort through my files to find the ones that are password protected or encrypted in Word?
I know a password recovery tool called SmartKey Password Recovery. Maybe you can have a try. It seems from recoverlostpassword.com
Or maybe you Google Search it. Good luck.
There are many software that can do that. But most of them using brutreforce method that can takes many times to finish. So i think you should try to remember again what the password is.
I think you should search for the documents for a password protected file! other than searching the whole computer!
just scan your system with antivirus and then check the files which has been skipped due to password protection :P easy method :D
Use Passware Encryption Analyzer, it helps you to detect lots of different file types including archives, Microsoft Office documents that have been password protected but also other file types like pdf documents or Bestcrypt files.
The free version has the limitation that it is not able to recover the passwords but that should not be necessary most of the time.
Good one. Thanks for the link!
I'm not aware you can use something like this. Thanks!
