How can I add links Bookmarks bar in Safari?

I dragged some links to the link bar in Safari but these don’t look like they have been added to bookmarks. How do I add them to Bookmarks so I can export them? Can I export links in the’Reading’ pane?

You need to add them as bookmarks after dragging - use menu or cmd+D

There is no way to export your reading list in Safari. I have heard about extract it from the bookmarks plist file, maybe there are people here who can explain it as I can't

Safari Menu > View > Show Bookmarks Bar
If you want more than one maybe there is a add-on for that.

Got it - bit of a duh! moment. I wanted to export the ones I dragged to the bar - turns out they're automatically added to all bookmarks. Thanks.
