I know you can share a drive with an AirPort Extreme, but can you mount or at least connect to it from Windows 7 and Mac OSX?
I want to connect a drive to the AirPort, then access it away from my house, say at school or my office.

Thanks for taking the time to answer, but can I access the drive connected to the AirPort Extreme while I am outside of my home network?
Checkout the search result of the Google search query, specially the manuals. https://encrypted.google.com/#q=can+a+win+7+access+drives+connected+to+airport+extreme+from+outside+home+network&spell=1&sa=X&ei=XKeiUeP5MsLLrQefrIGoBg&ved=0CCcQBSgA&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.47008514,d.bmk&fp=2b1cbd97a4a43fb2&biw=1440&bih=809
I will update with results in a couple of days. This seems to be the best from the Google search
