How can I use my graphics card for a game that requires more GPU memory?

Vivek Agarwal August 27, 2011

I have only Intel Core2Duo inbuilt graphics card. I want to play FIFA 11, which requires minimum 512MB external graphics card. How can I play this game without purchasing an graphics card?

I think you answered your own question - you can't. It would run like a dead cat anyway, even if you did manage to fake it or hack the game somehow. Jeez, we're geeks, not god-damn miracle workers.

I didn't know the two were mutually exclusive.

ha14, these applications will not expand his GPU memory, but only reduce the ram usage.

Vivek, you can try overclocking your GPU, if you don't know how - here is a guide.

The amount of GPU ram available isn't modifiable without actually buying or changing your existing graphics card. Even if software could try to fake having more memory in the GPU than actually exists, the game will attempt to allocate blocks of memory that don't exist which would cause your game to crash.
