Outlook is not supported by Comcast, my ISP, but Outlook Express is. I have had multiple email accounts all along, and my Comcast accounts work fine, but now my Gmail account is going crazy. I continually receive a ‘Send-Receive Error’ and the message: “Task Synchronizing Subscribed Folders” for my Gmail account reported error (0x80040813). Also a message from Outlook: “Failed to Update Headers” appears. Finally, some of my Gmail messages are not coming to my Outlook, (I know this because they come to my iPhone) Help!
Look to see if you're set up with IMAP or POP3 settings and double check them to make sure google hasn't changed anything. I would recommend using IMAP over POP3 as it will work better with multiple devices accessing your account i.e. automatically deleting and marking messages as read on everything.
