How do I format my laptop using a flash drive?
1.) Burn a Linux Live CD. You can use Pen Drive Linux to burn the ISO to a USB. You can use a number of different distributions but GParted offers a Live Distro.
2.) Boot from the USB and run the GParted utility. If your system doesn't boot from the USB immediately, you'll have to edit the boot priority in your BIOS, to prefer a USB drive instead of the hard drive.
3.) In GParted find your NTFS partition and "Format to: " and chose a file system to format it to. If you want to install Windows on it again, just chose NTFS.
Thanks again Jeffery. I will try this Gparted.
Let us know how it works out for you. Thanks!
