How can I make Firefox open my Start Page instead of last opened tabs?

Rajdeep Singh May 29, 2011

I have a homepage. I have “Open my Homepage” in Firfox options. So do you think it is because of some addon or is there a fix?

I am using Windows 7 and Firefox 4.0.1.

were you able to make Firefox load your personal start page?

If the tips above didn't solve the problem, you should try to create a new profile. That's a straight forward way to test whether something is wrong with your current profile, such as your installed extensions, or whether the browser is broken or affected by other processes.

Click the key combination [Windows] + [R] and type this into the box: firefox.exe -profilemanager
Then hit > OK and use the Firefox Profile Manager to create a new profile.

Please let us know how you were able to fix the issue. Thank you!

nope.  Still opening the last page(s) I had in the previous session. This is really starting to bug me.  I recently switched from IE to firefox and about ready to switch back.

do try to create a new profile. This should definitely fix the issue.

To test it first, you can also try to restart Firefox with add-ons disabled. Go to > Firefox > Help > Restart...

Hello,  you can easily fix that by doing the following:

    -- open firefox
-- navigate to your personal home page
    -- go into tools
    -- select options
-- click on the general tab
-- make sure that show my homepage is selected on the When firefox starts option
-- if you are on your personal page
-- click on the use current page option
    -- click on ok
    -- restart your browser
-- it should start on your personal page

Maybe you selected "Save my tabs" or whatever when you closed Firefox... otherwise I'm not sure.
