I want a Firefox add-on that will let me move the items found on the Firefox bar. I want them to be placed in a specific order. I Googled this but found nothing. There was once an add-on for this, but I can’t find it anymore.
just right click on your toolbar then left click on customise and the popup will appear you can move around any item then
Joseph here once again.
I made an error in my question.
At the end of my subject heading I meant to state "Firefox Add-on Bar" instead of the "Firefox Bar".
I hope my question will get answered.
here is what you are looking for I found a add-on that helps you move items around..
here is the link:::It is called URL-ADD-ON-BAR
Check out this website which introduces this add-on...
I hope it helped...
I searched some addons, but none of them allows to sort addon icons (some) by drag n drop.
Of course, you can you right click and customize.
You will see a box of items, you can drag and drop the items,
there will be some addon icons also
.For example greasemonkey and user agent switcher icons can be added from the customized, and therefore can be moved.
but fireshot can't be moved or removed or added.
So, you can move all other items excluding some of the add ons.
Next time you ask a question about firefox addon from chrome, please mention the firefox version also, so addons can be suggested according to the version :)
firefox with addonbar can be version can be 4 to 10.
As I said , addon icons directly installed to addon bar can't be moved unlike other items, but you can modify addonbar with these addons.
Makes addon bar smaller :
Adds old statusbar options to addon bar :
(Also enables location, progress and downloads with other items, which can be moved and sorted.)
Hello, it is up to you but you do not really need an add-on for that. Try the following:
-- click in view
-- click in toolbars
-- drag the add-ons to order you want, even on bottom of the screen
-- click on done

ROFL, first thing I thought too.
You know Joseph, Browsers never remain the same, as time passes the innovation also increases significantly and the developers try new methods to make their product, easy and more futuristic....The same is in the Firefox case. Newer version of Firefox have simpler design and developers have made it easy for the user to work around...so in the latest versions you don't actually need to bother about toolbars.
Anyway if you are using the older versions you can check this website which shows you how to move the items from the toolbar
The add-on that you were saying....is it UI-FIXER..check it out here
Some Toolbar button pack
Hope it helped
