Is there a way to search out people on Facebook, even if they have their privacy setting set so they can’t be found?

I'm guessing you don't have their email address to search by, otherwise you probably would have just emailed the person you're trying to find. The easiest way I know of to do this is to contact people that you are fairly certain would be friends with the person you are trying to find. Some people might be nice enough to pass a message along so the person you're looking for knows you're doing so. A mutual friend is usually the best way to do this.
