I am wanting to clean up my bookmarks, but don’t want to go thru the bookmark manager. I want to use Windows Explorer. It would be so much easier but I can’t find the bookmarks on my hard drive. Anyone know?

In Windows 7 (and probably Vista), Chrome's bookmarks are kept in \\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default
In XP they are kept, I believe, in \Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Bookmarks
However, an easier and safer way to get access would be to export them (Menu=>Bookmarks=>Bookmark Manager, then choose Organize=>Export bookmarks to HTML File) and work on that copy.
When you finish, you can go back into the bookmark manager, remove all the entries and import the revised bookmarks.

I checked this out and they are in a file named (oddly enough) bookmarks.
This file is ASCII and looks like it can be edited easily by holding true to it's implicit formatting.
