Why does FileTram provide its services for free?

FileTram gives an opportunity to download files at file sharing services for free whereas the same option on the same file hosting is fee?

I'm not perfectly sure whether FileTram is safe and legitimate, however the service might be open-source which is becoming more common as free-lance software developers create free-to-use software and resources for anyone, which allows them to show-off their computer skills and develop on the world wide web's community.

Ther is nothing free about it that i can see.  Just try and download a movie.  The first thing that comes up is the price

Looks like they changed a lot over the past months since this question was asked and first answered.

Actually, it works the same as other file sharing sites. They will offer direct downloads if you buy premium. Free users will have download limitations.

they certainly do it to get more traffic themselves. I guess they are building the brand name. And questions like yours will promote this. Maybe you should ask FileTram directly. ;)

The actual question is how they do it. They have no advertising, but according to their contacts they do have a sales team. And I have to note that the site looks a lot like Google.
