Why is Facebook now showing up in a different language?

Anonymous August 11, 2014

Today when I logged into my Facebook account, it was all in a different language. It threw up a flag, so I tried resetting my password. I tried logging in, but I couldn’t read the buttons. I can’t access my Facebook account and I’ve tried everything. I’m nervous because I don’t know what someone can access from my Facebook.

Here's language-neutral directions on how to get your default language back:

    Log into Facebook.

Click the small arrow in the top-right corner of the screen, to the right of the globe icon.

You'll see a line of text, followed by a divider, then two more lines of text, and another divider. Below the second divider, click the second choice. Picture to help you: https://imgur.com/UHflhQA

Once you're in here, click the General tab (with gear icon) at the top of the list on the left and then the Language setting is at the very bottom of the list. That's it!
