How can I download a video when regular video downloaders fail?

LouPhi March 14, 2010

I’d like to get the file of the video from this page:

I have tried popular software, online downloaders and they just don’t find the video. I haven’t test them all of course, but maybe one is able to find out.

i just got all your replies today (15june2011). Dunno how it came so late in my mailbox.
i checked all links above and i believe none of these would have worked as not youtube or video sharing site. Jack is probably right.
now the video is gone since a few months. Lost forever unless i become so famous i can call GloboTV in Brasil. I'm not there yet.
    anyway, thanks for helping.
enjoy this video interview of last year in Iceland:

we had to re-sync the comment database and unfortunately, notifications went out again for some questions. You should have checked back to look for answers a little sooner. :)

Install real player. Re-start your browser. When you go to the video and put your mouse over the video there will be a little icon saying "download this video". It works. I just tested. You can also choose to transfer it to any format you'd like.
    Funciona. Boa sorte :)

I really like using a program called Orbit Downloader. You can find it here:

It seems to be able to catch and download any and all streaming content you can find.

I think the reason why you couldn't download the video with some software because the source of the video file is not directly shown. The source is embedded inside the player.swf file.

did you try the tools listed in the answers to this question?

    They are...

    FlashLynx Online Video Downloader

And a few more concerned specifically with downloading videos from YouTube.
