Our school is using Google Apps, including Google Mail, for our students (https://www.google.com/a/ahschools.org/ServiceLogin?service=CPanel&passive=1209600&continue=https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/ahschools.org/Dashboard&followup=https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/ahschools.org/Dashboard).
Our staff use MS Excchange (www.ahschools.com).
Can we use the .org and the .com addresses (one as an alias) with Google Apps?
Also, can we use the .com along with the MS Exchange email? We do not presently with to migrate our staff email to the Google Apps site. We just want our staff to be able to use the other Google Apps while retaining our ‘outside’ email server while having our students use Google Mail.
Thank you very much!

Setting up domain name aliases on Google Apps

To re-enable aliases in Google Apps for Gmail, log into your Google Apps dashboard and under Email settings, choose “If received email does not match any existing address, forward it to ..” under the “catch-all address” settings.

Open your Gmail Inbox –> Settings –> Accounts and click “add another email address you own” under “send mail as.” Type your new email alias here, verify the code and you’ll now have an option to decide which of your email addresses should show up in the “From” field
