Hi All,
I am looking forward to learn graphic design. I know it would be more accurate to learn Illustrator but from what I see nearly everyone is using Photoshop for Graphic Design right now. However, most of the tutorials I find for Photoshop newbies are all about correcting and retouching pictures or other stuff, rather than actually creating or designing.
Can somebody provide me with some good tutorials for using Photoshop for graphic design work?
Noble Desktop in NYC offers FREE classes both on site and online -- They also sell beginner books to accompany their lessons.
They have an archive of FREE videos from classes done in the past

Work for a professional graphic agency for some months. Free of course. No better learning way then this. (ok.. paid would be better lol)
All the tutorials are ONE possibility. In PS there are 10 or more possibilities for each thing. 90% of the tuts are way too complicated (additional, not needed steps)

You can not learn from videos as much as you can do from books. if you do not have problem in reading books i recommend downloading makeuseof Photoshop guides. they come in four books and really helped me learn ever thing.
If you still love videos i recommend this tutorial series

They are free to watch and do not requires registration
YouTube has a lot of good videos, but not a lot of organization. I think the best bet is to search & find a good topic channel that specializes in graphic design. I stumbled upon a instructional channel by a guy named Bucky, called "TheNewBoston" when I was taking Java programming as a supplement to class. It was very helpful. He also has several other series, one of which is Adobe After-Effects. also XHTML/CSS which I occasionally review.
Lynda.com have good tutorials on different levels
