How can I deactivate Cman fence tool in Ubuntu?

Durgapraba September 26, 2011

On booting the Ubuntu 8.10 desktop version, there is some fence tool and Cman waits for some five minutes to boot Ubuntu in normal mode. How can the fence tool be de-activated and normal quick booting could be done?

The Ubuntu forums suggest to simply remove both cman and fencetool. Once within Ubuntu open up the console and type the following:

    sudo apt-get remove cman libfence3

confirm it with your password and answer "Yes" to remove all the things.
