I have no idea about programming.
in short you need to be a programer, then chose the specific field of programming in which you want to make programs, you may work in database, internet, graphics, softwares
learn visual C#, or visual basic..they are both fairly easy to learn (visual basic is easier) then use visual studio to create your own apps.
I think Without knowing Programming U cant Create own Software
first of all u have to learn the basics of programming and then u can use Visual Studio 2010 to develop your own software
The simplest answer will be start learning a MS-Language and start coding in an SDK provided by Microsoft.
This looks like a good place to start
You have to learn something if you want to create your own software.
Get Visual Studio Express Edition
Learn C# from online tutorials on YouTube etc.
Start developing from small screens and functions and gradually add more and more.
For developing applications for Windows, you need to code through some programming language.
There is no easiest one in terms of programming, all that depends is upon the way we look at.
To get started with programming, C could be a smarter step.
Mobile apps are hot today. But hiring a programmer is too expensive. I used snappii.com to make apps. It's really easy, the web service allows to make mobile apps in minutes, and without programming skills at all. If you are short of time, they can make an app for you very quickly.
Learn C#, C++, Python, Perl.. etc It's not like this.. But you have to first choose what type of software you wanna build.. You can even use microsoft exel to create a software..
So, in other words, first you have to choose the type of programs you wanna create. Than depending on that, you have to learn some programming language, and in the end use a software like Visual Studio (Which is the best for this job.. I think)..
After this there are a lot of other software that could improve your program.. but still the first step is to learn a programming language!
Download visual studio Express edition which is free and learn C# programming laungage.
thats it and you can create your own win app.
ps: if u need a database download sql server provided by microsoft.
Since it's for windows, i would recommend the free edition of Visual Studio Express. It's not only easy to learn but it will gives you the basis step as a programmer.
you just need to know programming
Microsoft has very own native platform to build windows apps that is .NET..Go and learn C#.Net and you can build windows apps
I would recommend to start looking at Python (http://www.python.org/) because it is very friendly and easy to start. You can find a lot of good tutorials, and even some classes online like http://www.udacity.com/overview/Course/cs101/CourseRev/apr2012.
After a certain level of complexity, I would take a look at the big guns: Microsoft .Net and/or Java. If you will only program for Windows, then go with .Net (it is not a language but an execution environment in which you can use several different languages). See http://www.microsoft.com/net to start.
Here's a very helpful site to learn a number of different programming languages.
Don't be scared by the name it's all a bluff, This is probably the easiest and best way to learn programming.
Then you should learn. Unfortunately, unlike RPGMaker or Gamemaker or any other 'helper' softwares, you cannot make an application without actually coding it by yourself. I suggest you to team up with your friend who knows how to program to bring your idea into real apps. If you still want to do it by yourself, try getting your feet wet with these sites. They offer programming lessons via interactive projects.
Edit: As per ha14's answer, apparently there are helper for Windows software making too. Try it, but don't actually rely on it. Such softwares can't be used to make complex, out of the box programs without knowledge, no matter how they're advertised. Pika does look a lot like Visual Basic.
visual studio helps you to make software which can run on windows environment.
You need to learn computer languages such as C++, .net, C# etc. Just join a course in any reputed institute and you will start learning from basics to advanced. It requires a lot of time, patience and practice.
go to the computer institute and learn .net programming language.
Visual studio can create good windows programs that look nice.
You need to learn programming or pay someone who knows how to create apps with your requirements.
Yap, hire someone to make one..
u must know programming first then only u could make a windows software

Learn how to program. That's the only way.
Others have mentioned Visual Studio but neglected to say that there is an Express Edition which is free. There are some limitations, but for a beginning programmer they won't matter until you gain some experience in software development. As far as initial programming language, Visual Basic was mentioned as a starting point, but it still has some limitations that you may want to avoid so you may want to start with VC# instead. It is more flexible and offers better options when coding in some situations. It also has a tendency to teach the beginning programmer better technique than VB does.
Visual Studio is very easy to learn, and has a lot of functionality in-built.
as per my search, since i am in same boat as you, we have to learn programming language. there are 2 things to do - install visual studio [ free and paid software from windows] and learn C#,C++, etc. this will help start up developer career. all the best.
you can try the below to start
Pika Software Builder: shareware
windows has its own software development tool like visual studio .you can use it to create software and different program that can run on windows environment. you can use any of the supportable language supported by .net framework . you can download the software at Microsoft site .
You have to learn programming as it is the language through which you communicate with the system,
though there are apps available those help you to build apps but they are not of much use ,
the easiest program you can learn is visual basic and go for a start then you can enter the world of programming when you get the interest
