How can I convert an mp4 6 channel audio to 2 channel stereo without affecting video quality?

    Format Factory will also generate acceptable results.  No matter what tool you use, you will need to ensure that the vidoe output details are identical to the input file otherwise it may alter the codec/size/bitrate of the video stream as well.

    Hello, your best bet is to reencode the file.  Leave the video options as they are and just change the sound to the settings you desire.  Depending on what software you use you might get the options of using CBR (constant bit rate) or VBR (Variable bit rate).  Here is one of the many programs that can do what you want:

    The other option you have is to strip the audio and leave the video alone.  Once the audio is stripped converted to what you want and once converted put the file back together.  Only downside to this, is that you will have to sync the audio to the video.
