How can I enjoy some 3GP movies from my phone on PC? I think I need to convert them to MP4 or other type that my PC can support, but I don’t know how to do it. By the way I’m running Windows 7.
Freemake video converter converts just about anything and is free.
Works like a charm
Hello, The first thing would be to consult the user’s manual for your DVD player and find out what kind of files it is compatible with. Once you know that, it
is just a matter of converting the files to a format compatible with it. What is the formatting for you video files in your USB? Can you provide us with the make and
model of your car DVD player? You can use free video converters such as the following:

With this converters it it just a matter of loading the file, select the format to convert to, select a few settings for bitrate, size, etc. and then just wait for
converting to finish. Let us know if you need any more help

Install K-Lite Codec Pack (Which has Windows Media Player Classic with it.. ), or install VLC Media Player! They can play really well 3gp videos!
Also, if you want to convert them to mp4, use Format Factory!
Maybe others did the same comment, but I wanted to suggest them to you, since I use them myself!
Here is a great video converter. It also does other stuff like youtube to mp3 and all. But if it's just the 3gp converter, then just download the 3gp converter from their site rather than the whole entire suite.
Also, the program is 100% completely free!
Note: If you find yourself constantly getting a pop up for some subscription after closing the program... You can go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\DVDVideoSoft\bin\SubscriptionOffer.exe And then deleting the subscription offer.
Using a converter like FormatFactory would be the best bet. I have found this to be a really useful utility over the years. And the best thing about it is that it's free!
I personally use Xilisoft for me it gives best solutions.
You can run 3GP videos using VLC media player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html) . However, if you want to convert your 3GP to MP4 format for better quality, use a free software known as HandBrake which you can download from http://handbrake.fr/downloads.php .
There are so many video converter software from the web, but most of them are not free, so you can download QuikTime to play 3GP movies.
Try Leawo Video Converter: http://www.media-video-converter.com/video-converter/
By the way actually you can use QuikTime.
Use QuikTime to play 3gp video
There are many different converter programs you can use, but I have to agree with using VLC media player to play the files. It is standalone, which means no codecs to install, and no need to convert files. Doesn't really make sense to have two different copies of the same thing, plus a converter program added to your computer. VLC has a basic look to it, but it is a powerful player that can play dvds and most other media types. Otherwise, you would have to install codecs for Windows Media Player to play 3gp videos. I use Quick Media Converter to convert most media files to almost any other format, including ones optimized for different gaming consoles and even to 3gp. Many here at MUO have recommended FreeMake video converter. FreeMake: http://www.freemake.com/free_video_converter/ Quick Media Converter: http://www.cocoonsoftware.com/
Another highly recommended converter from MUO users is Format Faculty: http://www.formatoz.com/download.html
Sorry, Format Factory.
Yeah Format Factory rocks!
You can either download a media player, codec pack, or convert them.
K-Lite Codec Pack
XP Codec Pack
Download QuikTime, it play 3GP well. Other wise you can also use a video converter to convert your 3GP movies to MP4, like this: http://www.media-video-converter.com/video-converter/
VLC media player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html) can reproduce 3gp videos on your PC, and is free/open source software that you can install on your machine.
