I want to connect BT line directly to my laptop in order to use it as phone through connecting this to a USB headset. Is it possible? Appreciating in advance.

if you laptop supports a mode, you can connect the line nd use a software to activate telephone features in you laptop.

Yes, you can. You'll need a regular 56k modem to plug the phone line into in your laptop. If you have a newer laptop, chances are slim there's one in your computer, so you'll have to get an USB modem like: http://tinyurl.com/8wcj4vb
Then you can use any kind of telephony software on your computer to use the USB headset to make calls. Windows XP even had included something called Phone Dialer to do so.
