Can you help me solve my issues with Microsoft Outlook?

I keep getting error messages on send/receive, no matter how many times I go through the change process. I lost all my emails from midnight to 9 am.

I also cannot retrieve my sent, delete, or junk files. Once I send a letter I cannot retrieve it.

I’m also getting 200 junk mails a day, and I have my spam filter on high.

    Email is a lot more complicated than most people think, there are so many different providers, different programs, different configurations.
    The first question with email has to be "could the account have been hacked?" The smarter hackers make subtle changes rather than simply locking you out or doing obvious damage. There are many possible scenarios for example they could use the account to send spam - but only a few messages a day which are immediately deleted from the "sent" folder so you never know.

    To correctly diagnose a problem a technician needs to know which software (and version), operating system, other applications on the PC (security software in particular may monitor email connections). Then detailed error messages including things like the full email headers (there will be a menu option to reveal headers and message source code). Some email programs may offer logging, troubleshooting or diagnostic options which may give useful information about problems.

    High levels of junk mail are a separate issue. Gmail spam filtering is better than most
    (in my experience better even than the commercial spam filtering services). Alternatively investigate MailWasher - quite good with its default settings but also gives the user a powerful set of tools to configure it for specific needs.

    This isn't nearly enough information to go by, as others have so aptly stated. I'll also state, however, that when I worked in IT full time I'd get an email like this – about Outlook – on a regular basis. The only way to really fix it, in our experience, was to replace Outlook. That program is a nightmare.

    But that's just my opinion. Let us know more about your problems and we'll do what we can.

    I agree with Bruce, we need a lot more information. To state the obvious, if your email was working fine, and stopped working all of sudden, is is probably not the settings that are the problem, but something with the service, your mailbox or connectivity. Have you checked with your ISP (or email provider, if they are not the same)?
    Also, 200 spams a day sounds like a lot (although I used to get this many spams myself a number of years ago, before we got on top of the problem). Is it possible, for example, that your email provider has disabled your account?

    It would really help to know what version of Outlook you are using as well as the specific error codes/messages you are getting. Also, are you using a POP or IMAP account?

    You have also to gibe your Outlook version.
    have you tried to uninstall outlook, reinstall and activate your account? try changing the port you use to connect to the SMTP server from 25 to 2525
