How can I upgrade Android on my Moto G phone without using WiFi?

John S August 7, 2014

I have a Motorola Moto G running Android 4.4.2. I have no WiFi nor any access to WiFi. How can I update to 4.4.4? I’ve tried connecting the phone to my PC via the Motorola Driver software but the download never occurs.

Have you tried downloading it over 3G? Another way would be to buy a cheap WiFi adapter (you can get USB ones for less than $5) and use your PC as a hotspot.

Already tried that, absolutely nothing happens.

what is occurring exactly? maybe to disable your security for a while just enough so to try the update process

Manually Install Official Android 4.4.4 KitKat on Moto G GPE (OTA Firmware Update)
