How can I transfer contacts and text messages from iPhone to Galaxy S5?

How can I move my iPhone contacts and text messages to Samsung Galaxy S5? I have tried suing Google sync service to transfer contacts, but this didn’t work for SMS transfer. For most available answers online I searched, only work for contacts. I am wondering is there an easy way to transfer both my contacts and SMS from iPhone 5S to Galaxy S5.

You have totally over complicated things.
    Two solution:

    First way:
All you need to do is download an app called ‘my contacts backup’. Its a really easy program, you just click ‘backup’ then ‘email’, send it your own email address (i sent it to my gmail address), open the email and open the.vcf attachment on your android phone and it will import your contacts.

Second Way: try phone to phone transfer program,
    1. Connect your iPhone and your Galaxy S5 phone to your computer, next you need to goto the phone transfer app, click on the Home>Transfer & Backup and press the start.
    2. Next thing is to select the backup file that you have backup from your device and click ok.
    3. You need to select the type of content you want to transfer over to your galaxy S5 device.
    4. Hit the start and wait for the phone transfer app to finish the transferring process.

    Hope my answer helps!
