I have the cell phone number of the man who robbed my home and stole my pickup truck who can I hire to track him down to his exact location now.
His number is (Editor’s note: Number removed for privacy reasons).
The great thing about the police, is you've already paid for them! I suppose you could always hire a private investigator, too. But that should be fairly obvious. We're a tech forum; not a lot of hit-men roam these parts.
I agree with Kihara. The police have both the legal rights to pursue the information (e.g. from phone companies) and to apprehend the person - you don't. Contact them!
Well, I would imagine that this is case for the police. Once you report the crime, the police should be able to trace the phone's location by accessing the cellular phone company records.
